Gresham Club Table at The Market Porter - 29th January 2026

The Gresham Club is delighted to host the January Club Table from the heart of Borough Market at one of the oldest and best-known Victorian pubs in London, The Market Porter.

We will be enjoying  a three-course meal with wine in our private dining room on the first floor. For the thirsty birds, the bar downstairs opens at 10am, and when it gets busy we'll move upstairs to our private dining room and bar from midday, which overlooks the market.

Soup of the day

Salt and pepper squid, smoked chilli jelly

Guinness Welsh Rarebit Salad, ham hock, watercress

Classic Caesar Salad with Bacon, Egg and Parmesan

Wild Mushroom Arancini, Blue Cheese and Truffle

Main Course

Beer-battered haddock, skin on chips, mushy peas, pickled onion, tartare sauce (gf)

Cumberland Sausages & Mash with onion gravy and greens

The Market Porter Burger, bacon, cheese, lettuce, relish, pickle, skin-on chips

Crispy Chicken Burger with  buffalo glaze, spicy coleslaw, skin-on fries 

Wild Mushroom & Lentil Ragu with pappardelle pasta 

Dessert

Apple and Blackberry Crumble with custard

Sticky Toffee Pudding with Butterscotch sauce and vanilla ice cream

Chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce 

3 scoops of Hackney Gelato or Sorbet
